It makes it more cushy for more casual riders. The E5 is the more hardcore race bike. Its is stiffer, lighter, and better than any Allez bike on the market.
You have a link or anything proving this? From what I've been told and according to specialized site they both use the same E5 tubing, I'd be interesting in reading more on this issue.
