EDIT EDIT: To redeem this post...my dad shook hands with His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I once, on the docks. Just walked up to him and stuck his hand out, knowing that most people will reflexively shake hands with you if you do this. He just wanted to be able to say that he had done it. So, I've shaken the hand that shook the hand of the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
