this place has a fancy-pants crushed-ice dispenser, so i'm compromising for now by filling my water-bottle up with ice-chips, then pouring cold coffee and milk in on top of it. and i keep getting fooled on the way home with a bottle full of chips and slush in the cage. i hit bumps, hear the rustly rattle down there and think 'huh. what bike component would make that noise right before it fell off?'

and one of these days i will have it organised so there will be food to eat along the way. i keep planning on it. one of these weekends, there'll be no ball-game and no appointments and no dishes or laundry stacked up, and i'll go out there and do that thing they call 'buy groceries'. i'm shooting for september.

no ride tomorrow. ball-game near my crushed-ice depot, so someone else is bringing him out and i'll bring him and someone else's kid home. tomorrow i'll remember to take my wallet.
