I had a similar experience with the stock tires on a Trek 1000. I got a pair of Conti Ultra 2000's and have not.... Sorry, I can't finish that sentence. I don't want to jinx myself. There are many tires that are more puncture proof than my 2000s, but there are hundreds that are better than the Bontrager Selects.
