I think what you have is a square taper bb spindle. No shimano crank ever used isis, which is an alternative to thier octalink 1 and 2 splined system.

What I would do is get a complete new crank set. You can find one that will have the correct chainline with your 110 or 113 mm bb, or replace the bb as well-they are pretty cheap.
First... thanks for the reply. That info. will help in my search. One final piece of info. The reason I'm looking for just a crankset from the late 90's to early 2k is that my Klein has what they call a "pressed in bottom bracket." Two nice sealed bearings that press into the frame. So from what the Klein dealer tells me, I can't order one of these with a different spline anymore and I obviously can't replace the BB with something current, since there are no threads on my frame to screw the BB assembly into. I am very frustrated by this whole ordeal. Who would have thought that the crankset would strip out the way it has!??!!
