Bikes: all diamond frames

I have an 87 Technium 440 and an 88 PRE. The PRE is definitely the higher end bike. It has 700 wheels and indexed shifting better brakes, 6 speed etc, etc. The 440 rides better partly due to the 27x1 1/4 wheels. Both are close to 20 years old and going strong. No bonding issues as commonly used to bash these bikes. Are they my favorites to ride-no. But being afraid of frame failure is not the reason. Ride quality is pretty harsh by todays standards.
