They are meant to be driving shoes, and therefore have minimum fore foot padding and arch support. I found them uncomfortable just to walk in for medium to long times, but I overpronate a little bit.
Well I do knwo what you mean, but if you tie them reallly tight, they IMPO are very comfortable, but again, thats why there are so many out there, we all liek what we like.
but walkign/running aside...very nice for biking.
