Thanks for the response ! So you apply the cream "directly" to the problem area ? Then the lycra underwear, then the lycra shorts ?? I'm just trying to get the procedure straight...
How much do you apply ? Should the cream rub in totally or should there be a layer on top of your skin ?

The only difference is you need to spray some Shout or your fav stain remover because the excess cream seem to stay in the shorts thru the wash. Underwear as in briefs or boxers are a bad idea, I wear Nike Pro lycra shorts underwear, theyare like cycling shorts without the chamois. I wear these for their ability to keep the package in place, I always had to make adjustments until I got these. As far as cycling shorts, mine cost $18 from local sporting goods store, I rotate between three pairs, and have had them for 3 years and 1000's of miles, two pair feel like the day I bought them, the third have started to run(like pantyhose) in the arse. I might like $75 shorts better but I have zero complaints. My wife started cycling and I told her to pick out some cycling shorts, sh bought a pair with the gel in them, she says the gell shifts and leave places unprotected.

P.S. I always apply the cream directly to my problem areas so I know it will do the job.
