yeah, it's weird because in some ways the old gear sucked. slowing down was a lot of work, as was starting off, but i loved the rhythm of the cadence. now if feel like i'm spinning my ass off for nothing. i'd love it if 19 was what i'm looking for, but i'm wary of going out of my way for another cog that's not going to do the trick. i may just go 18 b/c it's the middle ground.

anyone make their own half link? i definitely need one and could definitely make one, but i'm concerned with structural integrity.
