I am looking to get a new road bike, and maybe really soon. I found a good deal on an older cannondale R800, after hearing members on this forum speaking highly of the CAAD8, wondered what sort of a difference the three-year older frame makes (the CAAD5).

Other comments on this bike would be helpful, as well as suggestions for a nice newer (but not necessarily new) road bike ~$1200 or under.
