Does your "pump in the spokes philosphy" also apply to motorpacing random semi trucks?

A better tactic - if you want to shed them - is slowly lose speed until they'd be better of under their own power. Then you can stop and have them sign a waiver so that you're protected from frivolous lawsuits, like the one you'd get for using your pump to stop them.
