I agree that ebay will be the best place to sell the bike, but I would start with a low minimum bid and set a reserve around $1000. Anything beyond that would be a bonus, I think.

This is yet another illustration of the fact that project bikes, while very satisfying to build and ride, are not a great investment or a money-saver. I learned that lesson with a mountain bike that I thought I could build up super-cheap and it came in WAY overbudget. Had a blast building it, though...
