Not terribly constructive. And where are those statistics again? None of your "studies" with statistics even show that those who died were wearing helmets. In one of the studies it shows fatality trends, while stating helmet usage went from 0% to 30%. Maybe all the people dying are from the other 70%... Point is the data doesn't show that detail does it?

And where did the OP ever say they did? Again to go back to your point, The title was "Proof helmets are a worthwhile investment."

I think based on the OP description of his accident, as well as countless others, a $50 helmet certainly was money well spent.
