At that price range, you have SOOOO many options. Consider Orbea, Cervelo, Colnago, Time, Look, etc. etc. etc. See what every shop around you carries, and try out many different bikes. I ride with a lot of people who have Trek OCLVs, and they're very good bikes, but I would perfer something more exotic like one of the brands mentioned above.
