Bikes: 2006 Scott Speedster S20, 2005 Trek 7200FX, 1988 White Cannondale Criterium Single Speed Conversion, 1986(?) Peugeot...I don't know what model it is, but it's a road bike

I don't ever plan on racing, just riding several times a week and the occasional club tour on a weekend. I am well familiar with the Bianchi name and the idea of having a Campy gruppo is exciting, even if it's a low-end gruppo. I test rode the Scott and it has lots of zip. They LBS didn't have a San Mateo in stock so I tried another model in the same fram size I'd need - 63 cm. I guess I am just looking for pros and cons regarding each. I am sure either one will work out fine, I'm just at that "can't decide" stage. Is Scott an good name brand? Haven't heard too much about them.

Any help/advice is really appreciated.

Thanks much -

I have a Scott, and between the two bikes you mention I'm leaning towards the Bianchi. This is only because the Bianchi has a carbon seat stays though, which you'll really enjoy on your club tour weekend rides. Both are nice bikes, but yeah, buy the one that feels more comfortable to you. Good luck!
