Now I dont think you will have a high RPM on a bicycle to quite do that same thing, but on a mountain bike you have alot of shock from bumps and landings so I still have a fear of breaking a valve.
this is why i use bolt-in valves on my cars. that, and most rubber pull-through stems are only good for speeds up to around 100 mph.
