Looked up the serial number on the old Schwinn I picked up as a beater. Turns out it's just a month older than I am.
I've been riding it quite a bit lately (around 75 miles this week), and I'm finding I actually like it. Always turned up my nose at a Varsity when I was a kid, but... maybe I was missing something.

Oh well.
