I recently bought a Garneau helmet to replace a Giro helmet that just died of old-age. It is, I have told myself, a simple stop-gap, because I couldn't find a really cool helmet that fit. So I spent C$35 [$22 US] on a Garneau Alien [ripped off the damned visor] to keep my head protected 'till I could find something better.

You know what? I like this headbucket. It's the best $35 helmet I've ever worn. It's not terribly well ventilated, but that's not a huge issue this time of year, and I prefer integrated-shell helmets, but it fits really well, and the "Spiderlock" thingie is really cool.

When I get my "really good helmet," it'll probably be a Garneau.
