You couldn't prove it based on my experience. Every Continental I ever had was a disaster. The only time I have ever had to call someone to come retrieve me was when a Continental sidewall separated from the bead. I finally got tired of the constant flats and rotting sidewalls and started using Michelins. No more tire problems.
