Shimano r150's for me, almost the same shoe as you have pictured there, only mine is an older version. 65$ on ebay last year. I do agree with the above, buy according to fit not material. I was just lucky that shimano shoes used to be made for wider feet and i lucked in finding a nice carbon soled shimano on ebay that was just my size that i had tried on locally (150$+). You will notice a difference in sprints and climbs but for overall rides when you're sitting down there isn't a huge difference.

It's been my experience that you NEVER want to cheap out or rush a shoe purchase, weather it's a bike shoe, running shoe, or casual shoe, it can be one of the most painfull mistakes you can make.
