Some hardcore roadies here may say I should be focusing on the ride and not be concerned about the scenery. I say screw that! I need the extra motivation!

Ride somewhere else then. Seriously, I do agree with you. There is a site called "****s on bikes" or something to that effect. Cycling seems to be very male dominated.
Take up swimming, then you have an all new set of problems that arise, litterally.
