I have used Bag Balm for a couple of years AFTER rides if I felt saddle sores coming on, or was chaffed. I haven't ridden with anything on my chamois for about 10 years. Just too much hassle and I don't seem to need it.
It seems to speed my recovery when needed. 1 tin has lasted the whole time, and I still haven't put a dent in it.
I can't help saying, "MOOOOOO" when applying it though....
