Trek, Specialized, Giant, Bianchi, Raleigh, Fuji, Cannondale, and a few others all make bikes in that price range. I really like the new Raleigh's. They are nicely equipped bikes for the money. Alot of the guys here like the Fujis because of the steel frames. The Specialized Allez is a nice bike. The Giant OCR's are a nice compact frame, if you like that. Bianchi's are always sweet. The Trek 2000 is in your range. Oh, and I forgot Lemond. Their low end bikes would be close. I would run a search for your question. It is discussed here alot. Go sit on a few bikes, and find one that is comfortable to you. Good luck.
