If you want to fit in the crowd on the bike path forgo this old lady and search for something more appropriate. This thing was in the trash for a reason.
Since when is it about fitting in with the crowd? Who is to say what it appropriate? I can appreciate "the old lady" as a survivor and a lot more of them were made than what I ride. Bikes like this got America into the lightweight craze when I was younger. If you think about it, this low end bike would probably fit in better on the path than the higher end bikes many of us ride. And it would be great for a run to the store. One person's junk is another's treasure.
