Has anyone done this ride?

What is the terrain like on the ride west from Milwaukee to Madison, WI, and then west to Governor Dodge state park? The first half would be on the Glacial Drumlin Trail between Waukesha and Cottage Grove. The second half would be on the Military Ridge trail between Madison and Mount Horeb.

Would I be allright riding a bike with a 46/38 double, 12-27 cassette? Or are there some serious hills along the way?
