but the hills we have are good...mt tabor, the hill on albina. or mississippi. or, well, you know, that one that the freeway goes over, near nopo bikeworks.
edit; maybe i should try to make it to seattle for a race sometime and get some comparison.
think the hill on mississippi [as far as grade is concerned] and make it 2.5 times longer. that is beacon, first, queen anne, or [to a lesser degree] capitol hills.
i will admit that the west hills can get pretty gnarly, but i go out there almost never so whatever.
mt. tabor and interstate ain't ****. I'd think that with you living in north portland that you wouldnt even feel it anymore.

just to make it a smidge easier on me when I'm in a hilly city? nah. I'll just stand up and huff it. also, I dont have the kind of income where I can just go buy another bike for use MAYBE three days a month.
Also, Portland is not flat! Nebraska is flat, but Portland certainly is not...
