I don't think 100g savings is quite equal to another carat ;-) You have to be careful what you type on here.... My fiance reads the board regularly But, her ring is very nice and outweighs my bike toys by a good bit Plus, you have to factor in things like, if I want a new bike.... that means she gets a new bike as well. Earler this summer we got MTBs..... Now, we're just starting to think more seriously about what kind of builds we want to do for some CX bikes for the race season. It's a terrible cycle we've gotten into. And to think.... today is our 1 year anniversary of purchasing our first road bikes! Now we have 5 bikes in the house.... with 2 more slated to be added before the end of the year!

The Stronglight Pulsion cranks are really no better than any of the others but they are lighter by a little. I've had the Campy Record (still do) and FSA SLK as well and I prefer the Campy to the other two and the FSA to the Stronglight. You can tell I'm a reformed weight weenie
Fred, Stronglight produces the Time crankset. The chainrings are said to be the Campy specific ones, with the new ceramic coating. I'm hoping they function well. If not..... then I'll wait it out for the 07 Record stuff. I really wanted to hold off... but after a ride this weekend I came ever so closer to smashing my SLK crank into bits with a sledge hammer. I know lots of people have good luck with this crank... I must have gotten a dud. But, I'm not gonna try another one to find out.... and there is no way I'm forking over what they want for the K-force.

Maybe I shoudl ahve just gotten a 06 Record crank, Phil Wood BB and been happy But, I got the Time crankset through our club sponsor shop for less than I could have gotten a Record crank and said bottom bracket. I figure it's worth a shot Plus it looks SEXY! hehe
