"Bepe"?

Hello, this is my first post! I have an interest in road biking using an older steel-framed bike before I invest more in a triathlon bike. This is one that I'm interested in. I haven't been able to locate any information on the brand "bepe", so I was wondering if any of you had? Also, if you have any advice as to what sort of offer you would make on a bike like this that had been found on craigslist, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!!!!

I got the bike when I was shorter - I bet I was 5'7" at the time. It does have some paint scratches but it is not dented and was never bent or anything like that.

The bike is labeled bepe - I got it in Europe in 1984. The frame and many components are Italian: eg cranks, hubs, and derailleurs are "Ofmega" and handlebars are "TTT".

The brakes are "universal" The shift levers are "suntour".

It has mavic wheels with sewup tires which you might want to switch out to clinchers.

The bike could use some work but is rideable. The frame, brakes, cranks ect are in excellent condition. The only parts that are really are in need of replacemnt are the chain and front derailleur.

All the bearings are the kind you pack yourself - see tools below.
