Looks pretty good to me. Nice spec for the price, about $900 US.
But wait a minute, you're thinking about buying this bike as your first ever bike? I don't think that's a good idea really. It's more of an experienced enthusiast's bike, not a beginner's. Maybe a hybrid. These are the easiest types of bikes to learn on/master. How about one of these Norco bikes, which are much cheaper as a bonus. If you decide down the road to get a road bike like the one you linked to above, you can always sell the hybrid. The Rideau, Yorkville & Olympia are pretty decent models in my opinion.
