Like my father has always said, rationalization is the secret to happiness. Dr.Pete has it right. This guy is just trying to say he had to do it. The reality is that he engaged (so they say) in sporting fraud.
I mean if you want to make the "all drug olympics" argument, ok, fine. And I don't buy the mule into a race horse argument, Basso and Ullrich are great riders with or without drugs. I would prefer the sport be clean and everybody play fair.
