When I did ride fixed it was transport mostly. I just don't have time to ride recreationally anymore, not to mention the bad knees. Now I have built myself a tow-truck with no high gears to speak of (I generally don't go above 65 gear inches and even less frequently more than 70), which enables me to ride AND tow trailers full of magazines around.
