Not entry level, no... but I'm a pretty avid biker, and figured I'd budget for the bike that really felt right. I tried out the Rockhopper (which I liked very much, esp. for the $$), the Epic and the FSRxc. For the amount of kit and the riding I plan on doing, the Stumpy seemed like the right bet. I had originally budgeted $800, but after riding the Rockhopper and Stumpjumper back to back for a bit, the Stumpy was the one that begged to go to home with me. It's probably a little over my head, but from the discussion on here it should be a good bike for me to grow with.

An S-works would have killed my ability to eat and pay car insurance... hmmmm....

Like, for example, the S-works Stumpjumper FSR Carbon that's oh... what, $7000?? Hahahaha. I wish my pockets were that deep.
I can obscure my plate... I've never worried much about such things. But it may be a worthwhile thing, so I'll update.
