Tubulars maybe da' bomb diggity in the southern climates where it summer all year long, and the roads are clean, however up here in Saskatchewan where they throw tons of gravel on the roads every winter, tubulars are not a preferred tire, only for racing, and even then they are the minority here.

Flats, multiple flats, cut flats (destroyed tires), rock punctures are a way of life here if you ride a road bike, and having to carry 1 complete tire, much less 2 or more is just plain silly for where I ride. There is still so much glass and sharp rocks on the road, and it's the middle of summer, soon they'll be throwing the glass embedded gravel down again

Con 14) Having to carry a complete tire. Needing a complete tire for every flat.
