Way to go AD (Austro-Daimler?)!
About time some younger folks get things going!
We've been promoting the tandem lifestyle for 31+ years. Organized out first 'tandem rally' in 1975 and had 3 tandems attend. It was a metric century and we coined the word 'TandeMetric' just for that event. We were then living in the Detroit metro/suburbs and got lots of publicity in the local and even the 'big city' newspapers.
Ride with local bike club and list a tandem ride (with singles invited!), that way more folks will come and ride and you can introduce them to the double-up lifestyle. Of course the internet can be a great help nowadays.
Through the years we've led literally hundreds of tandem rides, both in MI and in AZ. Sometimes it is quite discouraging when you're the only tandem that shows up, but other times you'll get some old timers and newbies in the mix of twicers. Tandems are a bit more common now than decades ago; keep up the effort!

Pedal on TWOgether!
