I think the chances of USPS breaking away on a fairly flat stage would be slim to none. Since LA is (hopefully) stronger in the mountains than almost all the other riders, I think they(USPS) conserve their energy for the mountains and then give it 100% and try to gain Lance some more time between himself and the rest of the field. I'd say that's the plan they had when they put this particular team together. Just my opinion.
