Some Homegrowns have just the "epicenter" stays. Some have the flanges or Ram Air epicenter stays. Its all in that seat stay yoke area. Here is a wonderful MSpaint sketch of what I'm talking of.

cool, i get it. it's more like a gusset.
i believe i have one of the first homegrowns, so it didn't have any of the upgrades. for instance mine doesn't have the machined connection between the BB shell and chain stays.
