In fact I'd probably put on some different wheels (no matter how sweet they may be) just for peace of mind tearing around in the rain sleet and snow. And just a personal form vs. function thing: unless you're running unwrapped bars you don't really need a top tube protector bulge. Great bike overall though.
The gearing ratio is kinda high but I tend to go slower when I ride fixed, so I am fine with it so far. The deep Vs are so far pretty strong and I bought them because I think they will hold up well on the street and because they were cheap; I would have gone with deep Vs regardless of the price just because I hate trueing wheels and do it rarely, like once a year. And yeah, the bulge is just me being paranoid
Thanks for the comments, it is useful to hear what other Toronto riders think since we all ride on the same streets. I really should find some straps or get some egg-beaters or something, what do others here use?
