Nice build. The gearing sounds pretty ******** though.. I'm running 46x16 and I find it good around downtown generally, but I occasionally thinkg about going slightly lower. I haven't ever really felt as though I need anything bigger however.
I haven't ridden in clips in over 10 years, so my thought immediately goes to a clipless system of some sort. I've been pretty happy with both my Eggbeater C's on my fixie, and so far with the Candy SL's on my road bike. The eggbeaters are starting to feel a little rough, but that's after everyday riding since last August, including all Winter. I think that's repsectable. I'm planning on picking up a rebuild kit at some point soon.
And I like the wheels.. I can't say I would have picked gold, but will admit to liking deep v's (especially rediculously colored ones) on a lot of fixies.
