hot and muggy as usual for DC summers, both in the morning and in the afternoon.

slow and leisurely was the name of the game in the morning, aside from a couple of sprints on the major road coming out of my neighborhood and on campus. took the path route in today. stopped to chat with a couple dogwalkers on the path who were walking like five dogs including two huskies (my favorite breed of dog). one of their dogs was off the leash for whatever reason and ran into the woods... they had to go in after him/her. other than that nothing out of the ordinary on the ride in.

the ride back was to my folks house. quick stop by the bank but other than that a fast ride back in order to beat the possible thundershowers that I was warned about but that never actually materialized. good ride overall today.
