It's 3:27 on Friday. A warm, humid day at the beach in Los Angeles. And I'm looking at my bike. I think I will sneak out at 4:00 and head on the beach path early toward home.

I love to commute on hot days since my car's air conditioning doesn't work. And given the Friday afternoon traffic, I will probably get home faster.

I'm blessed with an entirely flat, 14 mile commute along the beach on a dedicated path.
