I've been commuting, but been too busy Prefecting at CoSForums to post. (The release of the new Harry Potter book has caused a mad inrush of newbie posters who don't know the forum rules yet.)

Anyway, nothing of note has happened in the last few weeks...except, perhaps the interesting sight of a horse chasing a little dog away. My bottom bracket has been ticking, and I took it in today for a look-see, but the mechanic didn't find anything wrong but a crooked seal. Regreased it, and I'll find out tomorrow if it's fixed. I also cracked a shifter--the little tab that kept my Gripshift from sliding out snapped off--and I'll be getting some new shifters to replace them...ones with shorter shift surfaces, so it will be less easy to shift by mistake when I'm wrestling with a sudden stop or crash.
