Maybe you'd like to shake me silly by the shoulders (as in shaken baby syndrom), because it's the movement within the skull that causes brain damage (just like that story from USA Today a couple of weeks ago about soldiers obtaing brain injuries from the shock wave of bomb blasts without being hit by anything on their heads), and the helmet does little to stop that movement.
Millions have had the same fall without helmets and have been just as fine as you were with your helmet.
