Thanks. I'm wondering if the other forged stems, such as the Ritchey WSC are truely forged to shape as advertised. I like the styling on the Thomson, but have heard they've had problems with cracked faceplates. I guess I'm wondering about the efficacy of forge induced grain alignment on the busier and more delicate and clamping surfaces of the stem.
