Because of the inverted design they have alot more flex and for some reason, at least the ones I have seen, tend to need rebuilding more often then a conventional sc fork. They are also on the heavy side for a sc fork.

Hey Jim311, if you can afford it, take a look at the new Zoch Z150. 6 inches of travel on a single crown. Strong fork unless you endo off a 10' drop. Then this happens ;
