SamHouston - apparently the email that I sent probably ruined my chances. Oops. I'll find out when I get back, I guess. As far as I know, I was the only one that applied for the position, it was made just for me. I've been *****ing for awhile that they hadn't made things official and that I was getting ripped off doing the job without the raise. Careerwise, it's a no-brainer that the position would get me a lot more places, but I couldn't do it for what they were offering...

You should have come back at them with a counter-offer of a bit more than you'd really be willing to do it for. Corporate ass-monkeys will try to squeeze anything they can out of you, regardless of how much they value your work. There's nothing wrong with you approaching your supervisors, despite your email (i'm unclear with what the content is, but whatever), telling them that they know you're qualified and valuable, and give them a figure/salary that suits you.
Unless you're the nervous type or worried about saving face or something, I can see no compelling reason not to.
