Teenagers are sensitive about everything! But they are sensitive about commuting on a bike because they've been "forced" to ride one all these years, since they were too young to get a liscence. Riding a bike (for transportation) is so not cool, or is so lame, or gay, or whatever they say now. Good lord, I'm showing my age. In fact, riding a bike to school caused one to be such an outcast when I was in high school that I walked the mile, rather than ride. I'm so glad I don't have to be cool any more .

Now we just have to figure out why you care....
