rsx is tiagra or 105 level
if maintained, they work flawlessly as stated. components do not suck... people who dont adjust/lube/maintain them suck... those who bash them do not know any better.

anyways, theyre both superior to sora in that sora has nub shifting which many find annoying..rsx and tiagra shift by levers.

unless your rsx is crashed/broken.. no point in dumping it to "upgrade"
