Agree. Compare the annual maintenance cost of a car, expressed as a percentage of the original purchase price, to the maintenance cost for the bike. A hundred or so annually ($8.25 a month!) for a $2,000 bike doesn't seem that horrific a price to pay if you look at the thousands you give to Exxon, your car mechanic and your insurance company every year on that $25,000 car.
