Took off from Point Loma for downtown San Diego (5 miles) via Harbor Drive bike path. Stopped at Brickyard Coffee Shop on Kettner for cup-o-joe & muffin then headed back to Broadway Pier to catch ferry boat to Coronado. Cruised around Coronado Island neighborhoods for about slow paced 8 miles. Had lunch at Tartine's then did a short 3 mile ride up and down Orange Ave. Jumped back on ferry for San Diego, then rode 4 miles home.

Beautiful day, beautiful weather. Nice ride! Good saddle time.

Next time we gotta take pictures!

PS. San Diegans. Did you know if you catch the ferry between 5:30 and 8:30am and return after 2pm its a free roundtrip? Riding the ferry any other time in between costs $5.50 w/bike, RT.
What, no ride down the strand?! I live about 2 miles east from the 13th street entrance to the strand bike path so it is one of my regular routes.

Some other interesting news for San Diegans is that this September construction will begin on a path that will provide a direct connection from Imperial Beach/Coronado to routes heading to downtown and chula vista. More info here.
