Yeah, was an S1 which has similar gusseting. Transmitter/reciever, the system was wireless so he didn't have to worry about cables flowing all over the frame. The reciever was inside a gusset, he did this so if he crashed it would not rip off unless huge amounts of tape were used and since he wanted it to be removable pretty often he put it inside the gusset so minimal taping was necessary. However it would be very well protected if it was taped inbetween two meeting tubes in the mainframe, ie behind the headtube and below the toptube etc.
